Chocolate Covered Sweet Fish | Gluten Free & Vegan
I can’t wait to share this treat with you! I have another recipe and some brands to share with you for Food Allergy Awareness Week. Smart Sweets makes yummy, plant based, gluten free, nonMGO candies that are super low in sugar! With only 3g of sugar per bag, no artificial colors or sweeteners they are a WINNER WINNER!
If you didn't catch my previous posts this week for Allergy Awareness Week then check out the following posts: Savory French Toast, Easy Vegan Bolognese "Meat" Sauce, Apple Cinnamon Marshmallow Treats (Vegan), Chocolate Truffles and Homemade Cookie Butter.
Try SMART SWEETS for yourself and don't forget to use code KRYSTENSKITCHEN at checkout for a discount on orders $30 or more. They have a variety of candies to choose from, some are plant based and some are not, but all of them are gluten free, nonGMO and very low in sugar and contain ZERO cane sugar. I love their entire line, but these are definitely my favorite, and that’s also because I love dipping them in chocolate, too.
I have loved HuKitchen for a long time and have even visited their incredible restaurant in NYC. I really need them to open up on the west coast and preferably Orange County ASAP. They have created an amazing line of chocolate bars (and crackers, too) that are paleo, gluten free, organic, vegan and paleo, too. We LOVE their Gems so much, and they are great for baking, snacking or melting and coating Sweet Fish with, too.
So, what happens when you put Smart Sweets and HuKitchen together? This tasty treat that is a FAVORITE of ours! It’s easy to whip up and the kids can help, too! __________ INGREDIENTS 1 bag Smart Sweets Sweet Fish 1/4 cup HuKitchen gems, melted (or whatever chocolate is safe for your family) Directions: Remove Sweet Fish from package and place on parchment lined dish in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Melt chocolate in a small bowl. Take Sweet Fish out of freezer and dip and coat each fish with melted chocolate and place back on the parchment lined dish. Use any extra chocolate to drizzle over each fish. Place back in the fridge or freezer for about 2-3 minutes and then devour. Keep them in the fridge or eat them all in one sitting for a low sugar, tasty, totally gourmet treat!
