Lemon Rosemary French Toast | Paleo + Gluten Free

When life hands you lemons, you better find some rosemary bread and make a delicious brunch! I have always loved rosemary and even love it when it’s sweet! It’s so great in cookies, muffins and even as French toast.

AWG Bakery makes a killer gluten free, grain free, vegan, paleo, Organic Rosemary Bread, and it’s just perfect for this recipe. You could use this bread for sandwiches, toast, French toast or whatever else your bread-loving heart desires.

INGREDIENTS

3 slices of AWG Bakery’s Rosemary Bread

Zest of 1/2 lemon

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1 egg

2 TB dairy free milk of choice or dairy free creamer

Maple syrup to drizzle after.


Directions: Whisk zest, lemon juice, 1 egg, dairy free milk (or creamer) in a shallow bowl.


Lightly toast bread before dipping it in the egg mixture. You can let it sit in there to soak up all the flavors and moisture.


In a pan, melt olive oil, coconut oil or butter of choice. Pan fry each slice of bread until each side shows a golden brown.


Serve with hot maple syrup, a lemon wedge and some fresh rosemary to garnish.
