Lemon Rosemary Loaf "Breaking Bread" | Paleo & Gluten Free

The definition of “breaking bread” is “to share a meal with someone.” It’s symbolized in sharing a meaningful conversation over a meal with loved ones or bringing people together who would have had disagreeing beliefs or issues prior.

Eating food with someone is intimate.

It’s sacred.

It’s powerful.

It’s emotional.

It draws you together.

It’s fellowship.

Sharing a meal with someone or a group of people is powerful as it’s a chance to gather around a lovingly prepared meal & converse. It establishes a human bond & connection. It’s a celebration of life, love & opportunity to acknowledge one another & your relationship together. In my family it’s a chance to talk about meaningful things happening in our lives, sharing stories or even discussing things we may not agree on, but still “pass the bread” & love one another.

Food is powerful. Often, the most meaningful conversations are had over coffee or food. We need to be able to talk, listen, learn & communicate with each other peacefully. Historically the dinner table is where that happens.

Today I’d like to “break bread” with you. You are my family. Many of you have been so supportive & check in with me in good times & rough times over the last 5+ years. I pray we bring back CONVERSATIONS & breaking bread with others.

Look at what Jesus did with the Last Supper. It was an important conversation gathered around a table of food. Use the time you have with your family members (on & offline) to TEACH, LISTEN, LEARN, PRAY, & SPEAK & then LIVE that in your daily life as you BREAK BREAD together.

Share with someone you love or even someone you disagree with & have a conversation.
