Derma E Skincare

As I said in my blog about switching to natural beauty products, it’s truly a work in progress. There are skincare and beauty items that are more of a priority than others when it comes to making the switch. It’s more important to switch out a lotion or moisturizer than a mascara since one goes directly onto your skin, the largest organ on the human body, and the other goes on the ends of your eyelashes.

My husband and I have been switching out bad products for good, natural and healthy products, and it’s a big task. It also takes a lot of time, patience and, let’s be real, money. Trying all kinds of new products and seeing if they work over a period of time can be frustrating because I often wonder if I'm using a particular product long enough to see any results. I wanted to share these products with you sooner, but I really want to use them for awhile and make sure that they work for me before I share them with you.

While at Expo West, I came across a company that I had heard great things about, but had never tried, called Derma E. They are a beauty and skincare company that is based here in Southern California and have become the largest natural facial-care brand in the country. Their products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy and GMOs.

Their ingredients are effective and their products contain the most potent natural antioxidants and targeted vitamin solutions to ensure that they deliver incredible results without using harmful chemicals.

Since the Expo, I have tried about 5 different products and, I have to say, having tried hundred of products, lotions and potions under the sun, I am now a huge fan of Derma E products, and I don’t miss the other products that I used to use that are filled with chemicals. For me, that is huge, because I decided that I wanted to find products (makeup, hair-care, skin-care, beauty-care) that I truly like, and that are made with good ingredients but also that work. I find that these products from Derma E really work for me. I love that they are free from the bad stuff and they are also vegan and gluten-free as well.

I do hope you check out some of these products and that they help you make the change and transition to clean and natural products smooth and easy. Plus, their entire line of products are very reasonably priced which helps making the switch to better-for-you products.

Here are my favorite products from Derma E.

This is a rinse-free cleaning oil that totally leaves your skin soft, moisturized and clean. It smells amazing and dissolves any makeup or impurities. This Rose Cleansing Oil contains argan oil which is a concentrated boost of an intense moisturizing, rich antioxidant that will hydrate your skin to the max. It also contains jojoba oil that aids dry skin and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I use this product morning and night every single day. It smells so good and leaves my skin so soft and very moisturized. If you have never tried a cleansing oil, this is a great one to start with. I have used many different cleansing oils and this one by far trumps any other cleansing oils that I have tried. This bottle has lasted me a few months, too. A little goes a long, long way.

This is a lightweight day moisturizer that supports collagen health while protecting the skin from pollutants and impurities. It contains a stable form of Vitamin C that won’t evaporate or alter before absorbing into the skin. The probiotics and rooibos work together with non oxidizing Vitamin C to help shield and strengthen your skin’s natural defenses for a smoother, firmer and revitalized appearance.

I love this moisturizer. It is very lightweight but definitely absorbs into the skin nicely. I use an extra pump of it at night. I am a sucker for a good moisturizer and this is definitely a GREAT one! If I haven't mentioned it yet, I love their packaging, the design and the look of all their products. This bottle has lasted me at least 2 months now. I also over use it because I just like to slather it on my face.

This is a dual-action formula that purges pores of deeply rooted toxins then exfoliates away micropollutants for purely glowing skin. It has natural clay and activated charcoal that removes dirt, oil and bacteria to decongest pores as the mask dries. It then has apricot seed powder that exfoliates the dead skin cells and captures the debris upon removal. Activated charcoal is known for absorbing 100-200 times its weight in impurities which also exfoliates the dead skin away.

I use this once or twice a week on my whole face or as a spot treatment. It really feels lovely on the skin when you use it as an exfoliator. Watch the time lapse video below of this mask drying on my skin and then it becoming an exfoliating scrub.
