Simmer pots are a so simple and they are such an effective way to fill your home with delicious scents! Combining various herbs, spices and fruits with water and simmering them on the stove, simmer pots release fragrant steam that freshens the air and uplifts the mood. Not only are simmer pots incredibly easy to make, requiring just a few ingredients and a pot of water, but they also offer endless possibilities for customization. You can literally switch it up with different ingredients which makes it fun every time you make one! Whether you prefer a warm and spicy blend for fall or a fresh and citrusy aroma for spring, you can tailor your simmer pot to suit any season or occasion. Maybe you want the scents of fall of winter and it's March... you can do that, too.
PLEASE STOP using crappy, toxic candles to make your house smell “good” - because what you’re doing is actually messing with your hormones and endocrine system with the toxic ingredients that are in those candles, room sprays and plug ins. These synthetic fragrances also pollute your air inside your home. Make this simmer pot instead. Williams Sonoma is known for many things and also their simmer pots that fill their store with delicious scents of the season... but eat your heart out Williams Sonoma because my recipe for a Fall simmer pot will blow you away!
