How to Make the Perfect Garlicky Ranch Dressing at Home

Ranch dressing is a beloved dip, spread or salad dressing that mixes creamy and tangy! Traditionally it uses mayonnaise, buttermilk, garlic, onion, and a blend of herbs and spices such as parsley, dill, and chives and is very flavorful. It's a timeless recipe that is loved by so many and even holds some nostalgia for me.

I remember being a kid and seeing my great aunt make homemade ranch. I can distinctly recall being shocked that you could make your own ranch dressing and it doesn't come in a bottle with a green lid and there being some kind of valley that was hidden on the label. She always used fresh garlic and granulated garlic and it stuck with me when I started making my own ranch dressing. It's totally genius if you love garlic and boy do I love my garlic.

Homemade ranch dressing is unlike anything else you've had before and it's so easy. For my recipe you only need one bowl and it comes together really fast. So whether you're drizzling it over a yummy salad or dipping your veggies or chips into it or French fries (okay that sounds so bomb right now) or maybe serving it with hot wings (I can dig it) it's really such an easy thing to meal prep for the week and have on hand. I love that I know exactly what is in my dressing and don't have to worry about sneaky sugars or seed oils!

I used a brand new product from nutpods! They recently launched a dairy free half and half and it’s available at Sprouts! It’s great in my Garlicky Ranch Dressing recipe

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup nutpods dairy free Half & Half*

1-2 teaspoons granulated garlic

1/2 cup avocado mayo

1/2 cup dairy-free yogurt**

2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 Tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1/2 Tablespoon dried parsley

3 Tablespoons fresh chives, chopped

4-6 cloves garlic, minced

Salt & pepper to taste

*You can order any nutpods products on their website and use code KrystensKitchen at checkout.

**I use Culina Yogurt's plain and simple yogurt. It's incredible for sweet or savory recipes and has amazing ingredients, too.

Directions: Mix everything in a bowl and it’s ready to devour. I start with the mayo and yogurt and add in the rest one by one. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week ... if it will last that long.
