Happy 1st Birthday Buster & Posey
June 13th, 2016, marks our sweet Buster & Posey's 1st birthday. You know we had to celebrate our babes with some toys, dinner and cake.
These babes have brought so much joy to our life. We as so thankful that we decided to get 2 kitties after the passing of my Bagheera last summer. Buster & Posey are such wonderful boys, super cuddly, purr machines and continually make us laugh! They love straws, water bottle caps and brown paper bags.
I can't believe they have been a part of our family for almost a year. This photo is from the day we brought them home. They were so small! Now they are about 15 and 16 pounds.
We also brought some cupcakes to our amazing doctors, nurses and staff at our vet because they always take such amazing care of the boys when they are there for a bath, check up or mini overnight vacay. They needed some sweets, too.
To celebrate their birthday, I made a cake for us humans. For this cake, I used Simple Mills Vanilla Cake Mix (made from almond flour) and a vegan chocolate buttercream frosting.
I added a layer of my "caramel" that is made from cashew butter between the two layers and let's just say that it was a good idea.
