REBBL With A Cause | REBBL (Virtual Organic Week 2020)

If you already love this company then I promise you will love them even more after you read this blog. And if you haven't tried their products or maybe you haven't heard about this brand then I have officially introduced you to one of your new favorite products! You're welcome! Congrats -- that means it's a great day! Yesterday we got nuts about Artisana Organics, and today we talk about a brand with an amazing cause, REBBL!

We can also talk about these yummy popsicles that I made with their Mint Chip Plant Protein Elixir.

Last year, around this time, I was in Washington D.C. with the Organic Trade Association (OTA) as one of their influencers who "hit The Hill" to lobby for the future of the Organic industry and, more specifically, the Farm Bill. Organic Week D.C. is an amazing week organized by the OTA. Organic businesses travel to D.C. to hit The Hill and meet with key members of Congress! When you support the ORGANIC industry, you are supporting organic brands and organic farmers that believe in the health and wellness of your family. Did you know that there are 700 chemicals that are prohibited in organic farming, yet 3000 chemicals are allowed in conventional farming as opposed to 67 that are allowed in organic. Organic producers, farmers and brands are committed to making healthy food safe and available to all Americans! (Here's a photo from one of the Smithsonian Museums - it was very fitting.) Read more about that trip HERE.

This year, things were moved to a virtual "Organic Week D.C.", so I decided to do my own version of a Virtual Organic Week! I'm sharing some of my favorite USDA Organic brands with you each day on social media and here on, as well as sharing some Q + As which each brand. Follow along on Instagram, too!

REBBL is a bottled beverage company that makes a wonderful line of drinks made with super herbs & adaptogens. They have protein drinks, coffees, super elixirs and keto drinks. I couldn't tell you my favorites because they really are all yummy. The one we buy the most is the Reishi Cold-Brew Coffee Elixir.

They are a plant based, organic company and all their ingredients are ethically sourced. They are passionate about preventing worker exploitation and work to ensure our farmers receive fair wages, access to health care, water, nourishing food and education as well as protection of their rights. They donate to Not For Sale, which is a global organization fighting modern-day slavery and exploitation.

Did you know? Human trafficking is the fastest growing illegal industry in the world. This form of modern-day slavery affects men, women, and children. Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of exploitation and forced labor. You can read more about that, here.

Back in October, I attended ShiftCon: an eco-wellness conference. They screened REBBL's documentary called REBBL With A Cause (Narrated by Ruby Rose) and, while I already loved this brand before watching their doc, I loved them even more and the big beautiful heart that they have. You can watch the documentary here. Please take the time to watch it! Also, for full transparency, Ruby Rose is an advisor and investor, as well as a REBBL Collective Member. You can read more about that, here.

By the way, REBBL has a great list of recipes on their site inducing one for popsicles. I made a version of them but used their Mint Chip Plant Protein Elixir. Just mix one bottle of the Mint Chip Plant Protein in the blender with 2 TB of coconut oil and 1/2 cup cashews (soaked in hot water for 5 minutes). Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze. Remove from freezer and drizzle with melted chocolate. BOOM!

I've even made a Lemon Turmeric Loaf with their Turmeric Golden Milk! See the recipe, here.

Here's a Q+A that I did with REBBL's team, and I'm so grateful that they are a part of my virtual organic week! I just love them.

Why did you start your company/ Why did the company start? In 2012, we created REBBL to inspire the world to drink differently. Clean ingredients and real functionality were hard to find in a beverage —a rebellious approach offering delicious nourishment was desperately needed. Today, we continue to be guided by these principles in everything we do.
We also leverage business as a tool for good to support a future without exploitation of at-risk people and the planet. We ethically source our ingredients and use 100% recycled plastic bottles that are also recyclable.
Why is creating organic products important to your company? Creating organic REBBL beverages aligns with our mission to nourish the people and the planet. Ingredients grown organically contain less pesticides than foods grown using conventional agriculture. There are many studies that speak to the effects of pesticide exposure, and we encourage folks to do their research. Pesticides can also harm the environment by contaminating the soil and water, which can harm important members of a healthy ecosystem such as birds, bees, and fungi.
What do you wish consumers understood about organic ingredients/sourcing organic ingredients? Not only are organic ingredients an important consideration for health, they are also an important consideration for the health of the planet. We source organic ingredients from over 30 countries. Not only do our suppliers invest in the wellbeing of the communities where they operate, but they also have strong relationships with growers and must be actively supporting the communities in which they work. Practicing organic agriculture in many of these areas helps to preserve the local ecology.
For example, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, our organic brazil nut suppliers work closely with indigenous producers to develop value chains that benefit the local growing communities and the rich rainforest landscape. The use of pesticides could harm the resource-rich ecosystem. It is important to support the health of the Amazon rainforest because it has a huge capacity to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and its preservation is critical for reversing global warming.
Plus, sourcing organic brazil nuts from old-growth trees of the Amazon creates economic incentive for the local community to protect the rainforest. The economic success of the brazil nut staves off growing domestic and international pressures to convert forests into mines, pastures, and plantations. The brazil nut’s economic success also improves the livelihood of indigenous communities. This is just one example of many that highlight the positive impact that organic sourcing can have.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your brand/products/upcoming product launches? We are thrilled to share that we recently added two new flavors to our line of REBBL Sparkling Prebiotic Tonics: Tropical Twist and Lemon Lime. They are refreshing, delicious, nourishing for the digestive system, and -- of course -- made with real, organic ingredients! They are available at Whole Foods Markets and other natural grocery stores.
Where can people buy your products? REBBL is available nationwide. To find the closest store that carries REBBL, check out our store locator. You can also order online at to get it delivered to your doorstep!
