Namaste Brownie Mix | Product Review

With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, I wanted to choose my first product review carefully. Namaste Brownie Mix is great to keep in your cupboard for last minute company, to take to a potluck or have when you just want something sweet. This is by far my favorite brownie mix and I am so excited to share it with you. No one will know it’s gluten, wheat, soy, corn, potato, peanut, tree nut, dairy and casein free! YES… you read that correctly!

These brownies are for chocolate lovers; they are rich, moist, fudgey, tasty and are way healthier than any other “box of brownies” you might pick up at your local grocery store.

Namaste Brownies are easy to make. All you need is water, oil and eggs. Make sure you are using filtered water for all of your cooking/baking. I use olive oil in most of my baking, but you could use sunflower seed oil or coconut oil. I highly recommend you do not use canola oil (that will be a whole other blog). If you are completely vegan and do not eat eggs, consider using an egg replacer, or flax egg (mix 3 tablespoons of warm water with 1 tablespoon of flax seed. Let it sit about 3 minutes until it forms a gel = 1 egg).

You can always dress up these brownies with frosting, sprinkle some Enjoy Life Vegan Chocolate Chips in the batter or even toasted walnuts… or all three! I have made these brownies for many friends and family, and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed them and there are never any left over. When they learn that they are healthy and filled with good quality ingredients, and not just a standard box of brownie mix that are filled with yucky ingredients, they are shocked that HEALTHY can taste SO GOOD!

You can purchase Namaste Gluten Free Brownie Mix online or at your local Whole Foods or Mother’s Market (an Orange County organic grocery store). Each bag makes two (2) 8x8 Pans and retails for anywhere from $7- $10 depending on where you purchase it.

I highly recommend this wonderful easy brownie mix and I hope you make it and enjoy eating it as much as we do! This dessert is most definitely HUBBY APPROVED!

FOR VEGAN VERSION: I replaced the 1 egg with 3 Tablespoons of warm water and 1 Tablespoon of flax seed meal. I used extra virgin olive oil, filtered water and the flax seed meal. I also baked them in muffin pans so they are individual and had a more firm outside. I baked them at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. They are both tasty and this version makes it vegan!

Here is a step by step visual for you:

I carefully measured 2 and 1/4 cups of the mixture into a bowl.

I measured out 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup of filtered water and 1 egg.

I mixed all of the wet ingredients into the dry mixture.

I prepared a baking pan as directed on package and sprayed it with an olive oil non-stick spray.

After pouring mixture into prepared pan, I placed it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

My kitchen smells amazing by the way. After 30 minutes:
